Teece too hot for Bayswater

Sorrento put in a dominant performance to topple Bayswater City 3-0 at Frank Drago Reserve on Saturday afternoon.

A first-half double for Cameron Teece and a goal from Jakub Prajza left Bayswater reeling before the interval and Sorrento were able to see it out expertly.

Jamie Harnwell’s side controlled the match from start to finish and it took only 13 minutes for Teece to find the back of the net with a well placed header from an Alex Morgan cross.

On 26 minutes Sorrento doubled their lead after Prajza hit a clean strike from outside the box that flew past Bayswater keeper Devon Spence.

With everything going the visitors’ way, Teece continued the momentum by adding the third goal in the 36th minute with a clever finish as he flicked the ball behind his back.

Bayswater had a good chance just before the break when Kenny Keogh forced a good close-up save from Sorrento keeper James Morgan.

But that was one of only a few chances for Chris Coyne’s team, who are down in ninth after starting with a single win in four matches.

The win takes Sorrento to fourth and if Teece can continue this form then who is to say they won’t stay up there?
